Katie Leung currently lives in Motherwell, near Glasgow Scotland. She was a normal girl, except that she goes to a Ł 5,000-a-year college in Glasgow, and that she lives in a Ł400,000 house in an exclusive district of Motherwell. But it didn't stop there. She beat 4,000 hopefuls for the role of Cho Chang in the 4th Harry Potter movie. She was chosen to be the girl Harry gets a huge crush on, when the only thing she wanted to do was to go shopping.
Katie, even with her minor role in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" has reached total star status. She used to be able to go shopping in Hong Kong unnoticed, but now she can't without photos of her being taken. With all the fame, she still remains down-to-earth, saying that she doesn't 'want to be in a film because she's Asian'. She wants to get respect as an actress. Whether she decides to continue acting or not, we are yet to find out, but we'll be seeing Katie in the next installment of the HP series, "Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix" in a much bigger role.
